9/11 Search And Rescue Dog Memorial Garden Coming To Glen Rock

GLEN ROCK, NJ — The Glen Rock Dog Park will soon feature a garden named for heroic K-9's.

Just a week after the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the community will participate in the 9/11 Search and Rescue Dog Memorial Garden Dedication Ceremony.

The event will be hosted by the Glen Rock NJ Dog Park, and Girl Scouts Catie Stallone and Michelle Hillock. It is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18 at 9 a.m.

Glen Rock's Dog Park has always honored the dogs that helped search through the rubble on 9/11, and is touted as the only one in the world dedicated to those dogs.

The borough was deeply impacted by the attacks, as 11 residents lost their lives that day.
