BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced another round of college scholarship winners on Wednesday, gifting 15 teens $2,500 per year for four years of college, no strings attached.
Back on April 22, the NMSC announced students receiving corporate-sponsored scholarships. They'll announce college-sponsored scholarships next month.
The below winners will receive their scholarships directly from the NMSC. They may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
This year’s National Merit Scholarship Program began in October 2024 when high school juniors took the PSAT/NMSQT. The highest-scoring participants in each state, representing less than 1 percent of the nation’s high school seniors, were named semi-finalists. More than 15,000 students became finalists. Ultimately, 6,700 will be named merit scholars.
The NMSC, a not-for-profit organization that operates without government assistance, was founded in 1955 specifically to conduct the National Merit Scholarship Program.
