Roads To Close In Ridgewood On Monday For Annual 'Ridgewood Run'

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching. Ridgewood will host two events on Monday.

First, Ridgewood American Legion Post 53 will host its annual Memorial Day Service honoring the men and women who sacrificed their lives in the armed forces.

The ceremony will take place in Memorial Park at Van Neste Square at 11 a.m.

Later in the day, the Village of Ridgewood will host the 49th annual Ridgewood Run.

Village employees, including first responders, will work throughout the event to keep participants safe.

Several roads on the east side of Ridgewood will be closed to traffic between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., the town said.

These will include East Glen Avenue, Linwood Avenue, and East Ridgewood Avenue.

The town encouraged drivers to use Grove Street or Racetrack Road as alternate routes during the event.

"Please follow all parking regulations, including posted temporary 'No Parking' signs," the town said. "We look forward to another successful Ridgewood Run and wish all participants the best of luck!"
