BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — While temperatures in Bergen County may soar as high as 93 this weekend, the high heat won't last, forecasters say.

The National Weather Service predicts that the temperature in Bergen County will climb into the mid-90s Friday, and skies will stay dry.

Saturday will be sunny and dry during the day, with a high of 94 and winds gusting as high as 26 MPH.

Saturday night into Sunday, the situation may change.

Saturday night, there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Sunday, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. The high will be near 87.

On Monday, the high will be closer to 80.
