BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Three drivers were treated at area hospitals on Wednesday after a chain-reaction crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, police said.
According to state police, before 8 a.m., the driver of a Freightliner tractor-trailer lost control around milepost 119.2 in Teaneck, striking the center median, then hitting an IHC box truck.
The IHC truck then struck the rear of a Cadillac SUV. The Cadillac then rear-ended a Hyundai box truck, said Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.
The drivers of the Freightliner, Cadillac, and IHC box truck sustained minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital, Lebron said.
No other injuries were reported.
Two northbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours after the crash, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation, and no other information was available Wednesday afternoon, he said.
