Flash Floods, Thunderstorms Possible For Bergen County Monday: See Timing, Map

Another round of heavy rain is in the forecast for North Jersey on Monday. A hazardous weather outlook warns of flash floods.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Up to 1.25 inches of rain are in the forecast for Bergen County on Sunday night into Monday, with storms likely after 8 p.m. Sunday.

A hazardous weather outlook for the county says, "There is a chance for isolated flash flooding Monday into Monday night."

Rain Total Reports From Last Week

Flooding closed roads and caused damage throughout North Jersey from Monday night into Tuesday, resulting in dramatic photos such as these in the Passaic County town of Hawthorne:

Bergen County received as much as 6 inches of rain during the storms on Tuesday, said the National Weather Service, with New Milford and River Edge receiving the most.
