RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A Ridgewood resident who taught English for 40 years and led education programs around the world has died at 90.
Ruth G. Cole died at her home on Wednesday, her obituary says.
Cole "was for four decades an English teacher to elementary students from a wide variety of countries attending Ridgewood public schools," the obituary notes. She taught "Effective Communication and Human Relations" at Bergen Community College and worked with the Jewish nonprofit Hadassah UN into her 80s, the obituary says, helping women around the globe.
