Police shut off a gas line in the area before the Fire Department arrived.

The residents were safely evacuated, Trover said.

There were no injuries in the blaze.

"There were numerous reports of lightning strikes in the area preceding the fire call, but it has not yet been determined if the fire was lighting related," Trover said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Glen Rock Fire Investigator Sgt. Greg Carter, he said.
