Roadwork Underway Near School In Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Ridgewood staff has been hard at work fixing a road near Somerville School this month, the town's village manager said. He noted the work should be finished by the start of school next week.

"This week, we broke ground on sidewalk, curb, and road improvements on S. Pleasant Ave. near Somerville School," wrote Manager Keith Kazmark. "This project will stretch from Grove Street to East. Ridgewood Avenue and is funded ... Work in the area near Somerville is expected to be completed before the new school year begins."

The roadwork is funded, in part, by a state Department of Transportation municipal aid grant, he said.
