GLEN ROCK, NJ — After a long summer, it's back to school on Tuesday for Glen Rock students.
Ridgewood students already started school this past Tuesday, but will not be able to use their flooded ball fields for a while.
Ridgewood, Glen Rock School Calendars
The first day of school in Glen Rock will be this coming Tuesday, according to the school calendar.
Ridgewood school opened on Sept. 1 with a minimum day. Their school calendar is here.
This year, students across the state will have to adjust to a new state law prohibiting them from having their phones in class.
Holiday Weekends This Fall
The first day off in both districts will be Sept. 21, a Friday, for the Jewish day of atonement, Yom Kippur.
Another important holiday, Rosh Hashana, begins at sundown on Sept. 11, a Friday, so students will not have off that day.
Students will be off on Nov. 3 for Election Day, and Nov. 5 and 6 for the annual teachers' union convention.
They also have a half day on Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
