Man Who Was Pharmacist In Ridgewood For 40 Years Dies

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A man who earned two master's degrees in Education, then chose to work for 40 years in a pharmacy in Ridgewood, died on Sept. 5 at age 82.

Robert "Bob" Zadra was the only member of his immediate family who could hear, his obituary noted. He graduated from the Columbia School of Pharmacy, but also earned degrees from the school's Teachers College and from the City College of New York. He went on to become the principal of Bentley School in Manhattan, later serving as a full-time pharmacist at Town & Country Apothecary on East Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood.
