6 Men Robbed Bergen County Business, 2 Sexually Assaulted Victims: Prosecutor

Six men robbed a Bergen County business and two of them also sexually assaulted the victims, officials said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A group of men bound and gagged people inside a Bergen County business in June, with two of the suspects sexually assaulting the victims, prosecutors say.

Six men were charged in connection with the incident at a business on Old River Road in Edgewater, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office late on Wednesday.

Edgewater police were notified on June 24 of a robbery that had occurred earlier that day, prosecutors said.

According to the prosecutor's office, at about 3:30 a.m., multiple victims were robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint inside the business. Suspects brandished at least two firearms and used two knives from a kitchen to assault the victims.

They ordered the victims into the kitchen and bound their arms and legs with tape and electronic charging cables, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said someone repeatedly struck a victim in the head with a handgun. Another victim was physically assaulted by multiple suspects.

Two victims were sexually assaulted at gunpoint and knifepoint, officials said.

The suspects stole money, cell phones, and identification, officials said.

Gang Connection

Prosecutors said the incident involved at least one member of Anti-Tren, a "splinter faction" of the criminal organization Tren de Aragua.

All six men were arrested in different parts of the country between July and September, prosecutors said. Five were taken to the Bergen County Jail One man was found in East Elmhurst, N.Y., and taken to Rikers Island.

All six men were involved in the robbery, prosecutors said, and two men — Jeider Jose Gonzalez Luchon, 25, of Chicago, and Jhon Dervis Simancas Melean, 30, of Chicago —committed the sexual assaults, prosecutors said.

Suspects And Charges

Luchon was charged with six counts of first-degree armed robbery, four counts of sexual assault, and weapons charges.

Melean was charged with six counts of first-degree armed robbery, four counts of aggravated sexual assault, and weapons charges.

Yorwin Jesus Dudamel Gil, 24, of Elmhurst, Ill., Jose A. Uzcategui Pacheco, 24, of Chicago, Carlos Osorio Rondon, 22, of Aurora, Colo., and Lisandro Ramirez Acosta, 26, of Queens were charged with six counts of first-degree armed robbery and weapons charges, prosecutors said.
