BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — As is often the case, several Bergen County schools ranked near the top in a newly released list of best public high schools in the state.
The 2027 Best Schools and Districts In America rankings were released on Monday by Niche, a firm that seeks reviews and provides information on local school options for those moving to new areas.
Niche analyzed 11,000 school districts, 93,000 public schools, and 30,000 private schools nationwide to come up with their high school rankings.
According to Niche, in New Jersey, Bergen County Academies, a regional magnet school, came in third according to their criteria.
Niche's rankings combine school statistics, federal and state data, and over 3 million reviews from students, parents, and teachers.
The six Bergen County public high schools to make the top 25 are:
Many of the schools in the top 25 were magnet or regional schools that can attract high-performing students or command more resources.
Two other Bergen County districts landed in the top 50. They are:
31. Applied Technology High School
32. Ridgewood High School
