WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 21-year-old Washington Township man was arrested on Friday for possession of child sex abuse materials, prosecutors said.
Val S. Tetro, 21, was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, prosecutors said Friday.
Prosecutors said that on March 11, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit identified Tetro during an ongoing internet child pornography investigation.
After a months-long investigation, which involved a court authorized search of Tetro's electronic devices, detectives determined that Tetro viewed, saved, downloaded, and/or possessed items depicting nude or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, prosecutors said.
He was arrested in Paramus and taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
