RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Ten Fair Lawn minors were detained in Ridgewood on Tuesday in connection with an SUV break-in, police said.
According to Ridgewood police, just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, they responded to a Hudson Street garage following a report of juveniles damaging a vehicle.
Police detained 10 youths who had entered the SUV and caused physical damage to it, said Captain Glenn Ender.
The 10 minors, who were from Fair Lawn, were released to the custody of their parents, Ender said.
Police also confiscated and impounded two unregistered electric bicycles, Ender said.
The incident remains under investigation by the Ridgewood Police Department's Juvenile Bureau.
Ender declined to release further information because the 10 are juveniles.
