Flood Watch Issued For Bergen County; 5 Inches Of Rain May Fall
New NWS guidance Sunday gives revised forecasts for up to 5 inches of rain and possible flooding, including at the Saddle and Ramapo rivers.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Sunday through Monday as a strong storm makes its way up the East Coast from Florida.
The flood watch is in effect from 5 p.m. Sunday through 5 p.m. Monday.
Revised forecasts for the Mahwah area now call for 2-3 inches of rain to fall Sunday, and another 1-2 on Monday.

The National Weather Service issued updated guidance Sunday at 6 a.m. saying the "major coastal storm" may cause flooding near the Saddle and Ramapo rivers. (Scroll down in the guidance to look at the river flooding probabilities.)
The NWS forecast for Bergen County says the rain will start after 1 p.m. Sunday.
