Bergen County Man Charged For Sexually Assaulting Child: Prosecutors
The man was charged with six counts of sexual assault, Bergen County prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Bergen County man has been charged for sexually assaulting a child, prosecutors said on Wednesday.
Jose E. Polanco, 44, of Hackensack, was charged with six counts of second-degree sexual assault and with endangering the welfare of a minor, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that on May 24, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a
juvenile in Hackensack.

An investigation determined that Polanco sexually assaulted the minor on more than one occasion, prosecutors said.
The complaint in the case, obtained by Patch, notes six incidents between March 1 and May 24 in which the Polanco sexually penetrated the child or the child performed oral sex on Polanco. The child was between 13 and 16, according to the report.

Last Thursday, Polanco was arrested in Hackensack.
He was taken to the Bergen County Jail, made a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court, and was released to await further court action.
