Bergen County Man Killed When SUV Veers Off Parkway: NJ Police
A Bergen County man was killed Sunday night when his SUV veered off the highway, police said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An Elmwood Park man was killed on Sunday night when his SUV veered off the Garden State Parkway, state police said.
Joel Hernandez, 25, left the road in Washington Township heading southbound around 11:14 p.m., said Trooper Christopher Postorino of the state police.
His BMW SUV crashed into several trees near milepost 167.1, killing him, police said.

No one else was injured in the crash.
The state police are investigating, and no other information is available, Postorino said.
