Bergen County School Closings: Get Snow Day Updates

Many Bergen County schools are closed on Monday, and some school board meetings have been postponed. Get details and links below.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — With forecasters expecting more than a foot of snow and sleet to fall in Bergen County on Sunday, residents may wonder if schools will close Monday.

In New York City, Mayor Zohran Mamdani said that the kids will likely have remote learning if they can't get to school. But in New Jersey, remote learning would not count toward the required 180 days of school.

Three large districts in New Jersey — Jersey City, Camden, and Passaic — made early announcements saying they'd close on Monday. What about Bergen County?

On Sunday, the Hackensack Public Schools said they will be closed on Monday. Many other Bergen County districts followed, including Bergenfield, Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock, Mahwah, Ramapo-Indian Hills, Ridgewood, Teaneck, and Wyckoff.
