Bergen Daycare Worker Charged With Child Abuse: Prosecutor
Shara R. Goldstein, 27, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse.

A River Edge woman was charged with child abuse after she allegedly pushed, dropped, and threw things at kids younger than 2 at a Woodcliffe Lake daycare where she was employed, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.
The Woodcliff Lake Police Department learned that the state Department of Children and Families was contacted about allegations of abuse by a teacher at the KinderCare Learning Center, Grewal said.
Woodcliff Lake police and the prosecutor’s office discovered that Shara R. Goldstein, 27, allegedly mistreated several children younger than 2 by pushing them to the floor, dropping them, and throwing things at them, authorities said.

Authorities identified four victims, Grewal said.
Goldstein was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and three counts of child abuse.

Goldstein was remanded to the Bergen County Jail on $50,000 bail with no 10 percent option. If released on bail, she is not to have contact with any child younger than 5. She is scheduled to make her first appearance in Pascack Joint Municipal Court Wednesday at 4 p.m.
