Bergen Parents Failed To Help Infant Daughter Who Died: Officials
Breaking: Juliann and Joseph Chmielewski's daughter died when she was 3 days old, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The parents of a 3-day old infant who died have been arrested in connection with her death.
Joseph Chmielewski, 41, and his wife Juliann Garner-Chmielewski, 36, of Wallington, were each charged with endangering the welfare of a child, acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced Monday.
A 911 call was placed from the Chmielewskis' home Friday regarding an unresponsive infant in "medical distress," Calo said. The infant girl was born Tuesday.

The baby was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, Calo said.
An investigation revealed that the baby's parents "willfully failed to seek medical attention for her," the acting prosecutor said.
