Ridgewood Eighth Grade Student Alexander Modlin Dies

A N.J. eighth grade student has died; PARCC testing was canceled at the student's school on Monday.

A New Jersey school district has canceled PARCC testing for some students on Monday following the death of Alexander Modlin, an eighth-grade student at Benjamin Franklin Middle School on Saturday, school officials confirmed.

Ridgewood School officials cancelled PARCC testing following Modlin's death, according to school officials.

Principal Tony Orsini told parents that the school will have the Crisis Response Team available for students, and school officials said an email was sent to parents over the weekend.
