Car Dealership Holds Grand Opening In Bergen County

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ — Cadillac cars may mean different things to different people — the Springsteen song "Pink Cadillac" conjures a classic car with crushed leather seats, while the brand has appeared in scenes from "The Matrix" and "Goodfellas."

The Cadillac brand was founded in Detroit in 1902, the luxury division of General Motors.

Now, a new generation of owners is selling the car in a "new era of Cadillac luxury," says a spokesperson for a local dealership.

A Cadillac dealership in Englewood Cliffs that goes back around 60 years now has two new owners — Andy Guelcher and Jon Williams.

The dealership celebrated its grand opening last Thursday, welcoming community members, customers, and local dignitaries for an evening marking what they say is a new chapter.

The celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Englewood Cliffs Mayor Mark Park and Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes, who presented the new owners with proclamations.

The pair said they'd like to build customers’ trust, foster lasting relationships, and become active members of the community.

“Jon and I know that trust is earned through what we do every day, and we’re ready to put in that work to make this dealership work,” said Guelcher.

Guelcher also leads Mohawk Chevrolet in Ballston Spa, N.Y. Since opening that dealership in 2019, he and his team have grown its operations, earning Chevrolet Dealer of the Year honors for two consecutive years, said a spokesperson.

Cadillac Costs

A new Cadillac can run from around $45,000 to $140,000, while a gold-plated classic Caddy has sold for more than $1 million.

The owners invite customers to visit the showroom, explore Cadillac’s luxury vehicle lineup, meet the team, and schedule a test drive.

They're located at 374 Sylvan Ave. (Route 9) in Englewood Cliffs.
