Experience Howdy Stranger’s hilarious sketch comedy show,&nbsp;<a href="https://hacpac.org/series/howdy-stranger-scripted/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Scripted</a>, on <a href="https://hacpac.org/events/howdy-stranger-scripted/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Friday, April 17th</a> and <a href="https://hacpac.org/events/howdy-stranger-scripted-2/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Saturday, April 18th</a>, 8:00 p.m. at HACPAC.
While Howdy Stranger has built a reputation for award-winning "off-the-cuff" comedy,&nbsp;Scripted&nbsp;offers a polished, high-octane experience in the vein of Saturday Night Live. This year’s showcase features 90 minutes of entirely new, original material written and performed by the core ensemble: Chris Fitzgerald, Ryan Huban, Dreena Moran, and JJ Lynn.
Expect outrageous characters, unexpected twists, razor-sharp writing, and the kind of laugh-out-loud moments you’ll be quoting for weeks. It’s bold, bizarre, and brilliantly funny, with a splash of their signature interactive improv thrown in for good measure.

Ridgewood Public Library and the Genealogical Society of Bergen County A Shipwrecked Tale: The Identification of Captain Henry Goodsell After 180 Years Off the New Jersey Coast Presentation by Julian Rebelo, Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center, Ramapo College Monday, 20 April 2026 @ 7pm In-Person at the Ridgewood Public Library Auditorium Free and Open to the Public
<h4>Join us as we welcome Julian Rebelo who will share how his team at Ramapo College utilized investigative genetic genealogy—an emerging field which has revolutionized the ability to identify unknown individuals—to give a name to the 19th-century human remains found along the New Jersey shoreline more than 30 years ago.</h4>
<h4>Julian Rebelo is Ramapo College’s Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center’s current Staff Investigative Genetic Genealogist, having provided leads in numerous cold cases. A practicing genealogist since a teenager, his professional background includes a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Monmouth University, as well as a graduate of Boston University’s Genealogical Certificate Program, and Ramapo College's Investigative Genetic Genealogy Certificate Program.</h4>
<h4>“… A skull washed ashore in Longport in 1995, and more bones were found in Margate in 1999, both in Atlantic County. In 2013, additional remains were found in Ocean City, Cape May County. Scattered Man John Doe went without a name for 30 years since traditional methods of investigation could not deliver an identification.</h4>
<h4>“In the fall of 2023, the New Jersey State Police partnered with the Ramapo College IGG Center to see if they would be able to use investigative genetic genealogy to solve the mystery of the scattered bones along the New Jersey beaches. That November, a sample was sent to Intermountain Forensics who uploaded the sample to GEDmatch and FamilyTreeDNA in February of 2024.</h4>
<h4>“That is when Ramapo College undergraduate students conducting field studies and IGG Center certificate program students began their research. They found ancestry dating back to the 1600s, with genetic relatives hailing from Litchfield and Fairfield Counties in Connecticut. …”</h4>

Yale School Performing Arts Center

Y.A.L.E. School, a private special education school serving students with disabilities ages 3-21, will host the sixth annual Tri-State Ability Art Show: Metropolis on April 24 &amp; 25 at its Performing Arts Center in Cherry Hill. The Art Show will showcase artwork by students with disabilities in grades K-12 and ages 18-21 from across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Highlighting student talents, the exhibit emphasizes the significance of creative expression, acceptance and inclusion.
Awards will be announced at the Opening Reception on Friday, April 24 from 6-9 p.m., which will also feature live music from young musicians and craft activities for children of all ages. The Gallery, along with a Craft Fair, will be held on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. There is no cost to attend, and all are invited.
