Census Takers Coming To Glen Rock This Month: What To Know
With the 2020 Census entering its final phase, Glen Rock Police have issued some reminders about what census takers won't ask for.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — As the 2020 Census enters its final phase, Glen Rock continues to have the highest response rate in New Jersey, and rank in the top 50 nationally.
At 88.4 percent of the population responding, Glen Rock ranks 48th in national response rate, according to US Census Bureau data.
The Census began in April and is now winding down, with census takers likely heading to your neighborhood to conduct quality check interviews and collect the remaining responses.

Prior to this, the Glen Rock Police Department has issued a set of reminders for residents in hopes that it helps them avoid fraud and scams.
The Census Bureau will never send unsolicited emails to request your participation, for example. They will also never ask for:
- Your Social Security number
- Your bank account or credit card numbers
- Money or donations
Additionally, if someone visits your home to collect a response, the police department offers these tips to verify their identity:

- Make sure that they have a valid ID badge, with their photograph, a U.S. Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date
- If you still have questions about their identity, you can call 800-923-8282 to speak with a local Census Bureau representative
