Citizen's Police Academy Enrollment Open In Bergen County
The Citizen's Police Academy is a 10-week course, designed for residents to better understand law enforcement policies and tactics.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Enrollment is open for the 26th Citizen's Police Academy Class in Bergen County, Sheriff Anthony Cureton announced.
The Citizen's Police Academy is a 10-week course, designed for residents to better understand law enforcement policies and tactics. Residents 18 and older are eligible to sign up.
The next class begins Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m. at the Bergen County Jail, 16 River Street, Hackensack. Classes meet once a week at different locations around the county.

“One of the most important components of law enforcement is fostering strong relationships with the community,” Cureton said in a news release.
Deadline for registration is Friday, March 25. Click here to download an application. The class ends with a graduation ceremony.
