Cooper Telesco Is Out Of His Senior Football Season With Shoulder Tear: Report

Standout football, lacrosse, and hockey player will keep the shoulder immobilized until school begins.

To say that Cooper Telesco is tough would be an understatement.

The standout rising senior learned earlier this summer that he has been playing football, lacrosse, and hockey with a torn labrum for the last year and a half, NorthJesey.com reported.

Telesco had surgery to correct the problem July 7.

“It got to the point where I had to have to surgery on it, and they said I’ll be out for football [season] and maybe for the beginning of hockey,” Telesco told the website.

Ridgewood football coach Chuck Johnson said Telesco will still be a team captain season.

“He’s an inspirational kid,” Johnson said.

Telesco committed to playing lacrosse for Cornell University in the summer before his sophomore year.
