Crashes On George Washington Bridge, 2 Bergen County Highways Block Lanes Monday
The Monday morning commute in Bergen County got off to a rocky start with several crashes, including two lanes of I-287.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Three crashes on Monday morning blocked highway lanes in Bergen County, the state Department of Transportation said.
A crash on the lower level of the George Washington Bridge on the Fort Lee side — in the middle of the bridge near the New York border — closed a right lane, the state said around 8:48 a.m.
Around the same time, the DOT noted a crash on I-287 northbound just south of Exit 57-Skyline Drive in Oakland. Two right lanes out of three were closed.

And as of 8:45 a.m., a crash on Route 4 westbound, east of Forest Avenue/Maywood Avenue in Paramus, closed a right lane.
