Deer Breaks Through N.J. School Window, Wreaks Havoc [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

A deer broke through a N.J. school window and wreaked havoc on Friday, police said. Video below shows incident as it was happening.

A deer broke through a school window at their school and ransacked an office, school officials said.

The 150-pound buck was running around the N.J. middle school building before crashing through a window, leaping over furniture and dashing into the student dean’s office, according to NBCNew York.

NBCNew York provided photos of the incident as it was happening at the North Arlington Middle School (see video below).

A staff member slammed the office door shut to contain the animal. The deer then ran around the office, scattering papers and slamming into a wall, according to the report.

Animal control officers tranquilized the deer, wrapped it in blankets and wheeled it out of the school, according to the report.

The 1-year-old doe entered the school through an unlocked window and ended up in the main office, Oliver W. Stringham, superintendent of schools, told nj.com.

The deer never came in contact with students, the superintendent said in the report.
