Diner In Bergen County Closes, But Its Sister Restaurant Will Remain Open

A beloved diner in Bergen County will close, but its sister store will still serve up steaks, salads, sundaes and short ribs Benedict.

Earlier this month, the Gotham City Diner in Ridgefield — which served up everything from French toast to fried chicken, and hosted trivia nights — closed its doors. But its sister location in Fair Lawn will remain open, offering an extensive menu with steaks, cakes, salads, soups, seafood, and even short ribs Benedict.

The Gotham City owners posted on social media on Thursday, "While we’ve sadly closed our doors, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for all of our loyal customers who made our journey so special. The good news? Our sister location in Fair Lawn is still open and ready to serve you—come visit us and let us keep making memories together!"

The diner opened in 1992 as Waterfalls and later changed its name.

The Fair Lawn location has a typically large and varied diner menu, serving everything from pork chops to seafood to omelettes. They offer entrees with soup and salad, daily specials, pastas, salads, wraps, sundaes, and cakes.
