Retailer Announces 100,000-SF Store At American Dream
Store will be a part of the entertainment destination's grand opening in 2017.
Primark, one of the biggest clothing retailers in Europe, will open a 100,000-square-foot store at the American Dream Meadowlands complex in 2017.
Primark specializes in men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing as well as home goods. The store will be a part of the 3 million square-foot entertainment, shopping, and dining destination’s grand opening in 2017. It is one of the largest clothing retailers in Europe.
“Showcasing Primark, a relevant and unique fashion retailer with a vast assortment of fast and mainstream fashion, helps us to continue to deliver on our promise to build the world’s greatest shopping, entertainment and dining destination,” said Don Ghermezian, the president of Triple Five, developer of the $5 billion project.

Called ”the most expensive retail project on earth.” American Dream will be home to North America’s largest indoor amusement park and biggest indoor waterpark. An 800-foot-long indoor ski hill will be the first in the Western Hemisphere. A 300-foot-tall Ferris wheel will offer a one-of-a-kind view of Manhattan.
Other unique amenities will include a movie theater that allows people to smell in-movie scents, an aquarium with a walk-through underwater tunnel, and a LEGOLAND Discovery Center.
Local officials and Triple Five are hopeful the center will be the entertainment destination in the tri-state area, and possibly the East Coast. It is thought that the project will tap into the millions of tourism dollars spent in New York City annually.
