Flood Watch Issued In Bergen County, Thunderstorms In Forecast: See Timing

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — After a day of sunshine, heavy rain could bring flash floods to Bergen County, forecasters say.

The county is under a flood watch from 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service says that for Saturday, there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 a.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall.

Sunday, expect showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The amount of rainfall expected is up to three quarters of an inch overnight, and another three quarters Sunday morning, not as high as during severe storms earlier this summer:
