GLEN ROCK, NJ — The Glen Rock Assistance Council and Endowment will host a 9/11 memorial service on Saturday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in 2001.

As usual, the service will be held at Veteran's Park, but there will be a new edition to the memorial there.

A series of engraved granite stones will be unveiled, and G.R.A.C.E. officials say it's thanks to the community.

"Donations of varying amounts humbled the trustees, eventually culminating in approximately $20,000 raised," the organization said.

"From the bottom of our hearts the trustees extend their thanks, inspired by the demonstration that neither pandemics nor politics stand between us all as neighbors first."

The trustees explained more about the stones here:

"Please join us that day as we mourn those lost, extend our heartfelt sorrow to the families torn apart, and also bow our heads in thanks that somehow we are fortunate enough to live in this community," they added.
