GLEN ROCK, NJ — The Board of Education awarded a window replacement contract to Panoramic Window and Door Systems worth over $1.5 million at a meeting this week.

Panoramic will now take the lead on the window and door replacement project at Clara E. Coleman Elementary School after submitting a bid of $1,598,000.

Oddly enough, Panoramic Window and Door Systems was actually the second-lowest bidder for most of the process. Premier Group, Inc., who submitted the lowest bid — just under $1.3 million — withdrew their bid due to a mathematical error, board members shared at the meeting.

Board members also noted that Panoramic has a "great reputation", and that the board has had "prior positive experiences" with the company.

According to the meeting agenda, though the contract has been awarded to the company, there are still a few conditions that they'll need to meet. More from the board:

"This award is further conditioned upon the contractor furnishing the requisite insurance certificate and labor and materials/performance bond as required in the project specifications, together with an AA201-Project Manning Report, and an executed AIA Agreement, as prepared by the Board Attorney."
