Glen Rock Dog Park Hosts Supply Drive For Newark Animal Shelter

The non-profit hosted an emergency food and supply drive for the Newark Associated Humane Society Rescue Shelter.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — The Glen Rock NJ Dog Park Non-Profit hosted an emergency food and supply drive for the Newark Associated Humane Society Rescue Shelter this month.

According to the organization, the Newark shelter was severely impacted by recent storms, and suffered flooding after Hurricane Ida.

Residents donated food and more to help the shelter, and The KONG Corporation donated 30 pounds of KONG toys to the drive, according to dog park officials.

"Thank you to Glen Rock NJ Dog Park for their donation of linens, pet food, toys and KONGS to the shelter AHS-Newark Branch," Newark Associated Humane Society Rescue Shelter volunteer Laura Richardson said. "We always appreciate community donations and we flooded with the recent hurricane and are grateful for the help."
