Glen Rock Man With ALS Needs Community's Support

McCullough has dedicated his life as a public advocate and stands up for citizens' rights everyday, an online fundraiser states.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A online fundraiser has been started to help a borough man battling Lou Gehrig's disease.

Mark McCullough's amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is "worsening," according to Sean Michael Brennan, the man who started the Go Fund Me page for McCullough.

McCullough grew up in Glen Rock. He has been a "fixture in town" while dedicating his life by standing up for citizens' rights everyday "in every way he could," Brennan said.

"Mark's compassion, courage, dedication and persistence is a model for us all," Brennan said. "We would like to ease the struggle he is going through by providing him and his family with financial support needed during these difficult times."

Nearly $8,000 was donated to the campaign as of Monday morning. The goal is to raise $10,000.
