Glen Rock Post Office Box Tampered With, Letters Stolen: Police

40 post office boxes in Bergen County have been tampered with recently, police said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Authorities are investigating a burglarized post office box, one of more than three dozen that were burglarized throughout Bergen County recently.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service notified Glen Rock detectives Wednesday that someone had broken into a post office box at De Boer Drive and Harristown Road, police said.

The Postal Service has not determined how many letters were stolen, police said.

Post inspectors are investigating about 40 post office boxes in Bergen County that have been tampered with recently, police said.

Residents who suspect that any of their letters have been stolen or tampered with are asked to contact their local police department where the letter was mailed or postal inspectors at 877-876-2455.
