Glen Rock Schools Closed Friday Due To Winter Weather

With freezing rain and sleet in the forecast, Glen Rock School District has called a snow day on Friday, Feb. 25.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — Glen Rock Schools will have a snow day Friday, as a wintry mix Thursday night into the morning will make the commute difficult.

The district made the announcement shortly after 7:30 p.m. Thursday night, adding, "Be safe Panthers!"

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for western Bergen County and several other New Jersey and New York counties as a storm moves in from the west. The advisory lasts from 10 p.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday.

On Friday there will be snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 1 p.m. with less than one inch of accumulation. A small amount of ice, 0.1 to 0.2 inches, is possible.
