Graydon Swim Team Laps Competition

The Ridgewood based team won its second meet in a row.

On Monday afternoon the Graydon swim team hosted Crestwood (a combination of Cresskill and Westwood) in a dual meet that saw the home team win easily 220-150.

The victory moved Graydon to 2-0 on the young season as they continue to dominate the Lake League.

"It was a close meet for a while, but I thought we got a great boost from our 15-17 year girls which helped us pull away for good," said Graydon's head coach Chris Morales.

The team, which is made up of kids ages 9 to 17, was led by strong swims from a number of individuals, including Rachel Cortwright, Megan Morales, Charlotte Samuels and Joseph Hilldicth—who all won their events.

"We've been having some great practices of late, and I think it's really starting to show in the results," Morales said. "There were a number of personal bests for this particular venue, and I think it's great that the kids get to see what happens when they put in the time and effort."
