Gun Goes Off In Trampoline Park, 2 Boys Taken To Detention Center

Two boys, 12 and 15, were taken to a juvenile detention center after a gun went off in a Bergen County trampoline park, police said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two minors were sent to a juvenile detention center Sunday after they allegedly brought a gun to a trampoline park in Bergen County and it went off, police said.

The boys, ages 12 and 15, brought a loaded gun into a photo booth at Urban Air Trampoline Park on Sunday night, confirmed South Hackensack Police Chief Robert Chinchar.

The gun went off, striking a steel plate, which prevented it from going further, police said.

This was the second time the 15-year-old was caught with a gun, police said.

Meanwhile, the gun still has not been recovered, Chief Chinchar said.

The incident occurred inside the facility at 69 Wesley St. in South Hackensack, police said.
