Thunderstorm Threat In Bergen County With Area Under Hazardous Weather Outlook: See Map

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A hazardous weather outlook issued for Bergen County says thunderstorms are possible Tuesday and possibly Wednesday.
"The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area in a slight risk for severe thunderstorms today," the NWS said Tuesday. "The best time for thunderstorm development would be this afternoon and evening, with the primary severe threat damaging winds."
Areas south of Bergen County are under a greater threat, the NWS says.

A high of 86 degrees is expected for Bergen County Tuesday afternoon. Winds could gust up to 22 MPH.
The area is at a greater risk for storms on Wednesday, as highs reach 88. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m.
