Here Are All National Merit Scholarship Winners In Bergen County, And Their Career Goals
In Bergen County, dozens of teens will get four-year scholarships to college. Here's the list, with their career goals.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A slew of new National Merit Scholarship winners was announced this week, including more than a dozen in Bergen County.
Each year, the highest achieving high school students across the country compete for a National Merit Scholarship, which guarantees them $1,000 to $10,000 per year during college.
Kids become eligible based on their PSAT scores, then submit an essay, recommendations, grades, and other materials to make the final rounds of consideration.

Some winners receive a scholarship from a corporation, and others receive a four-year, $2,500 amount.
Below are the winners as of Wednesday, May 8. However, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation will also announce college-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards on June 5 and July 15.
