Lanes Of Route 17 In Bergen County Close Due To Downed Pole: DOT
Several lanes of Route 17 in southern Bergen County were closed as crews dealt with a downed pole Saturday morning.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A downed pole closed all southbound lanes of Route 17 in the Wood-Ridge area shortly after 5:30 a.m. Saturday, the state Department of Transportation said.
The utility pole fell in the area of Moonachie Avenue, just east of Hasbrouck Heights. The northbound lanes remained open.
Just before 8 a.m., the DOT gave an update: "As of 7:49 a.m., there's a utility pole down on NJ 17 southbound Moonachie Av in Wood-Ridge. 2 right lanes of 3 lanes, ramp lane closed."
