Lebanese Restaurant Will Open In Bergen County With 2-Day 'Food Festival'

MONTVALE, NJ — NAYA, a Lebanese restaurant, will open its second New Jersey location this weekend, nestled within Montvale's North Market neighborhood of luxury apartments, offices, and restaurants.

Originating in New York City 13 years ago and making its New Jersey debut in Paramus earlier this year, NAYA’s fast-casual stores have been praised for the "authentic ingredients, bold flavors, and unparalleled attention to detail," a spokesperson said.

Food Festival

The NAYA team will present a "fun and flavorful" neighborhood Food Festival Weekend for its grand opening, beginning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 17 at 12 p.m.

Appearing will be Top Chef Charbel Hayek, NAYA Owner Hady Kfoury, the Montvale Chamber of Commerce, and Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali.

On both Friday and Saturday, from 12-7 p.m. each day, food sampling booths will offer bite-sized portions of NAYA’s core offerings: mezze and apps, shawarma, and falafel.

Afterward, guests can build their own bowl or roll and "Pay-What-You-Wish," with all proceeds supporting the Montvale Educational Foundation.

Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities for the whole family to win prizes and goodie bags.

Guests can take advantage of Buy One Get One (BOGO) on bowls, rolls & kids meals from Sunday Nov. 19 through Sunday Nov. 26th (in store only).

The Montvale location marks the 20th NAYA location, said a spokesperson.

The Menu And Catering

NAYA invites guests to choose their base: a NAYA Roll, a bountiful Bowl, or a fresh salad with sumac pomegranate vinaigrette. The centerpiece of the meal is their choice of protein, including Chicken Shawarma, Chicken Shish Taouk, Beef Shawarma, Kafta Lamb Kebab, Cauliflower, and Falafel. Guests can personalize their roll, bowl, or slad with a variety of 17 different toppings, ranging from hummus and baba hhannouj to jalapeños and Spicy Green Sauce.

Desserts include baklava and nammoura. Kids' meals are are available with one base, one protein, up to five toppings with a choice of milk or juice. The kids' menu is a relatively new development for NAYA.

NAYA specializes in catering for private parties, celebrations, and business lunches.

NAYA is located at 330 Market St., Montvale, within the North Market neighborhood.
