Longtime Music Teacher From Ramsey And Ridgewood Dies, Memorial Service Planned

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A music teacher who lived in Ramsey and Oakland, and was active in her Ridgewood church choir, passed away on the second day of the new year. A local memorial service will be held at the end of the month.

Carol Ann Hollen of Northfield, Minn., was 85.

After getting her bachelor's degree in music education in Pennsylvania, Hollen taught for many years in the Clifton and Ramsey schools, and remained in the Ramsey schools until her retirement. She was also active in music programs at the West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, her obituary says.

A local service will be held in Ridgewood on Jan. 31, and will be livestreamed. Read her obituary here.
