New Map Shows Snowfall Probability For Bergen County This Weekend
Will Bergen County get any snowfall this weekend? The bigger threat may be wind. See the new snowfall probability map and forecast.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Those who are still digging out from last weekend's snowstorm may be happy to hear that the county is unlikely to get any snow this weekend — forecasters say — but the area should brace for heavy wind.
Weather forecasters say a "bomb cyclone" or nor'easter is headed for the East Coast Saturday night into Sunday, with coastal areas like North Carolina particularly vulnerable.
Bergen County may still see wind gusts as high as 34 MPH on Sunday, and wind chill values between -10 and zero, the NWS says.
