New Sidewalk Near School In Ridgewood Stirs Debate: Report
Should a new sidewalk be added near an elementary school in Ridgewood for safety reasons? Parents are speaking out.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — For 60 years — according to a news report over the weekend — A "Do Not Enter" sign (pictured above) has gone up on the sidewalk-less side of Clinton Avenue in Ridgewood. The street t-bones the entrance to Ridge elementary school.
Now, some parents are pushing for a sidewalk, which they say is for safety reasons. On the other side of the debate, homeowners aren't happy, saying a traffic study should be done to determine if it will really help.
“A lot of times [drivers] don’t expect as they turn, to see children walking down the street,” says one area resident. See the full story on News 12 here.
