NJ Lottery Player In Bergen County Snags $1M In Cash 5 Jackpot

A Bergen County lottery player will split a nearly $2 million jackpot with a Union County player.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A lucky lottery player who bought a Cash 5 ticket in Bergen County is now nearly $1 million richer.

The player has split a $1.97 million jackpot with a Union County player, the NJ Lottery announced Friday. Each player will receive $987,480.

The winning numbers were 08, 10, 16, 33 and 43. The Bullseye was 16 and the XTRA was 02.

The winner bought their ticket at the ShopRite on Maple Avenue in Fair Lawn, the NJ Lottery said.

The other player bought the ticket at Basic Food mart in Union.

Each store that sold a winning ticket will receive a $2,000 bonus.

In addition to the jackpot, 49 players matched four out of five balls and the Bullseye to win $500 each, the NJ Lottery said. Among those players, 13 multiplied those prizes to $1,000 by playing the XTRA.

The jackpot has been reset to $150,000 for a new drawing on Friday.
