Web Reacts To NJ 'Ducks' Actor Looking 30 Yrs. Older In Mug Shot
Weiss, a Montvale native, played goalie Greg "Goldie" Goldberg in 3 "Mighty Ducks" films. He has reportedly been arrested a few times.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — People were aghast at the mug shot of Shaun Weiss, the actor who played Greg "Goldie" Goldberg in three "Mighty Ducks" films, a New Jersey native who was arrested for public intoxication in California Sunday.
Weiss, 38, a Montvale native, was arrested in Oroville, which is in northern California, early Sunday morning for public intoxication, Access reported.
Even "Goldberg" was trending on Twitter after news of Weiss' arrest broke, and people on social media began to reach to his picture. People could not believe the person in the mugshot and the kid who played "Goldberg" are the same person. Weiss turns 39 Aug. 27, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Weiss spent a few hours in the police drunk tank, TMZ.com reported. He was later released and not cited.
Police told People.com that they found Weiss outside a closed business with three other people. The group was "behaving erratically with flashlights." Weiss was allegedly high on drugs, according to police in the People.com report.

Weiss did not resist arrest and was, according to police, "witty," People.com reported.
Weiss has been arrested before.
In 2017, he was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after he was sentenced to 150 days in jail for stealing $151 in merchandise from an electronics store, according to an NJ.com report.
Weiss played Goldberg in the three "Mighty Ducks" movies during the early to mid-1990s.
After the "Ducks" movies, Weiss had stints on the television series "Mr. Rhodes," "The Tony Danza Show," and "Freaks and Geeks." His last acting credit was in 2016 on the short "Netflix and Chill."
"Goldberg," the name of the character Weiss played in the "Mighty Ducks" was trending on Twitter after news of the actor's arrest broke.
