Three Similar Thefts Reported At Livingston Homes

Over a four-day period, three Livingston residents suffered similar package thefts.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Three Livingston residents reported similar package thefts in town over four days, the police said this week.

On Tuesday, Oct. 17, a Nettie Lane resident came into police headquarters at 9:10 p.m. to file a report. The person said that a new cell phone was delivered to his residence, but the package was stolen from his front porch.

The next day, at 11:15 a.m., a resident of East Cedar Street came into headquarters to say the same thing: a new cell phone was delivered to his home and then was stolen off his front porch.

Two days later, on Oct. 20 at 2:53 p.m., Livingston police responded to a Chestnut Street home on a report of package theft. The victim stated that a new cell phone was delivered to his residence and then was stolen from his front porch.

The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.
